MARINE DIRECTORY
As part of our sponsorship from the South West Regional Development Agency we are about to produce a directory of marine businesses in the Wessex region. I enclose a questionnaire which I would be grateful if you could return to me. I need to have the forms back by 11th April to guarantee entry into the first directory. All entries are free of charge. BMF members will automatically be entered using the information we already hold but the details will still be useful. A stamped addressed envelope is also enclosed. There will be a limited amount of advertising space. Please
contact me if you are interested.
POOLE AFLOAT 24 - 26 JUNE 2005
The organisation of
Poole Afloat is now well under way. We will be taking over an area of Harbourside / Baiter Park and boat demonstrations will still be going from Dolphin Haven. The event will be much bigger than in previous years due to funding from the South West Regional Development Agency and sponsorship from Crest Nicholson and Poole Council. There is still time to book a stand or arrange to demonstrate a boat.
Please contact Carol Spicer at Liz Lean PR on 01202 701828.
QUARTERLY DINNERS
The recent spring quarterly dinner at the Sergeants Mess, Royal Marines, Poole was very well attended. 80 members and guests enjoyed hearing lone rower Debra Veal talk about her transatlantic row. She had some very interesting slides to show. There was also an opportunity to buy copies of her book “Rowing it Alone”.
The summer quarterly dinner will be held at the RNLI training college on June 15th. Further details will be sent out nearer to the time.
