POOLE AFLOAT 24 - 26 JUNE 2005
The event is looking very exciting. James Sydenham was interviewed with Graham Shaw of Poole Tourism on Meridian News last week for the event and there has been a lot of publicity in the boating press. To date we have 25 confirmed exhibitors with several more interested. There is still time to exhibit and if you would like to do so please contact Carol Spicer at Liz Lean PR on 01202 701828. We will also need a lot of volunteers to man the event. If you are able to help at all over the weekend please call either Carol or myself. Friday 24th will be a schools / careers event in the afternoon. Entertainment has been arranged for both weekend days which will include street performers and nautical themed face painting. Other activities will include wind and kite surf simulators and a climbing wall. There will be a jet ski marathon and coastguard fly-by on Saturday 25th and rowing races on Sunday 26th together with the Motor Gun Boat, thundercat racing demonstrations and an RNLI Atlantic lifeboat on display. We hope to see you over the weekend.
